We invite you to participate in the Better Life 21-Day Forgiveness Fast, taking place January 10-31 from sunup to sundown, inspired by the Daniel Fast. This fast will focus on releasing all burdens—people, places, and hidden harbored feelings—towards ourselves and others, allowing us to operate from a place of true freedom and liberty in our hearts and souls
Use the food list below as a guidelinefor the fast. Please consume foods that are from the earth only during the fast
Grace Fast Foods (Daniel Fast)
Whole Grains
Amaranth, barley, brown rice, buckwheat, bulgur, freekeh, millet, oats, purple rice, quinoa, rye,
sorghum, spelt, teff, whole grain pasta, whole wheat, and wild rice.
Beans and legumes
Black beans, black-eyed peas, cannellini beans, garbanzo beans (chickpeas), great northern beans, kidney beans, lentils, peanuts, pinto beans, and split peas..
Vegetables
All vegetables are allowed (fresh, frozen, dried, juiced, and canned).
Fruit
All fruit is allowed (fresh, frozen, dried, juiced, and canned). However, any dried fruit shouldn't contain added sugar (check ingredients to be sure).
Oil
Oils (such as coconut, olive, and sesame, for example) are allowed but should be used minimally. For example, you can sauté foods in olive oil but avoid deep-frying them.
Other
Unleavened bread (whole grain bread made without yeast, sugars, or preservatives. All herbs, spices, and seasonings are allowed, including salt and pepper.
Beverages
Water should be the main beverage on your Fast. Distilled, filtered, sparkling, spring, and mineral water are allowed as well. However, you may have 100% fruit juice on occasion (just don't overdo it).

Day 1
God’s grace is sufficient

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:9 – “But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’”

Affirmation: God’s grace strengthens me daily. I lack nothing because He sustains me.
Day 2
Grace for new beginnings

Scripture: Lamentations 3:22-23 – “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”

Affirmation: Today, I embrace the new mercies of God. His grace renews my hope.
Day 3
Grace in your weakness

Scripture: Isaiah 40:29 – “He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might He increases strength.”

Affirmation: God’s grace is my strength in weakness. I am empowered by Him.
Day 4
Grace that heals

Scripture: Psalm 147:3 – “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Affirmation: God’s grace is restoring my soul and healing every hurt.
Day 5
Grace to forgive

Scripture: Ephesians 4:32 – “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”

Affirmation: I forgive others as I am forgiven. Grace flows through me.
Day 6
Grace that overflows.

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 9:8 – “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”

Affirmation: I am a vessel of God’s abounding grace, sufficient for every moment.

Grace that sustains joy.

Scripture: Psalm 16:11 – “You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
